Peter Andre,
ex-husband of Katie Price, responded firmly on Instagram following her remarks
about their daughter Princess's emotional docuseries.
In The
Princess Diaries, Princess shared that during her childhood, she "saw
things that no kid should" and felt her mother, Katie, was emotionally
absent due to her own struggles. She explained that after Katie separated from
Kieran Hayler in 2018, “things went downhill,” and during a low point, when
Princess needed her most, her mom wasn’t there.
While
Princess emphasized that her parents maintain a good relationship despite their
divorce in 2009, both have since offered responses online. Katie reposted a
message that read: “Your mom is not your enemy... she may not always say the
way you want to hear it, but her heart is always in the right place.” She
followed with a reassuring line that “she’s trying to protect you.”
Peter Andre,
however, took to social media to clarify the situation. After years of silence,
he wrote: sixteen years I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from
my ex-wife and her family... but staying silent has been incredibly
frustrating. That ends today.”
Peter
explained that their two children, Junior and Princess, have been under his
care since 2018, following a family court order issued in 2019. He emphasized
that he had not publicized this arrangement out of respect for his children.
He also
addressed past legal disputes, noting that in 2011 and 2015, courts ruled
against Katie for making false claims—ordering her to pay damages, legal fees,
and issue a public apology.
Peter closed by acknowledging that more falsehoods remain unaddressed and promised to respond to them in due time.
